Adding users to the database
A set of simple user permissions can be applied at both the database level and the model group level.
The database owner who is editing user permissions cannot alter their own permissions. They will remain as a database owner.
To add users to the database:
- As an administrator and database owner, select File | Master database settings | Users and permissions.
This opens the Users And Permissions dialog.
The Implement users and permissions in this database box must be checked.
- In the New User area of the dialog, enter a user name in the Username box and the associated full name in the Full Name box, then click .
InfoWorks WS Pro uses login names to identify users, so the name typed in must match the name the user uses to log in to the computer or network.
By default, users are added without database owner privileges.
- To add database owner privileges, check the tick box next to the user's name.
- To save the changes you made and close the dialog, click .
